WHAT to expect DURING SESSIONS

Are you so sick of being unhappy you're ready for change? We will use this discomfort as your catalyst for growth.

I will genuinely listen to you without judgement, asking questions to help you increase awareness and understanding, setting goals to help you achieve the changes you are seeking.

I will guide and encourage you to grow toward these goals with each session through learning and practicing new skills, while strengthening the healthy skills you already have.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees and do you take insurance?

Self-pay sessions are $100 individual, or $125 couples/families. Cash, Card, or HSA accepted. Non-cash payments are automatically made through the client portal after each session.

Beginning 07/01/2024, I will be contracted with Aetna insurance. For all other insurances, I am considered "out of network". Superbills (invoices that include diagnosis and billing codes) can be provided FOR CLIENTS TO SUBMIT to their insurance for possible reimbursement for "out of network services". Please check with your insurance about any coverage for services, as each policy is different and to be aware of any co-pays and/or deductibles that may need to be met.

Do you offer in-person and telehealth appointments?

Yes! I offer In-Person sessions at my office in the Mesa/Gilbert community, and Telehealth sessions are available to anyone living in Arizona. Many of my clients switch between scheduling In-Person and Telehealth sessions depending on what will work best for them.

What ages of clients do you work with?

At this time, I work with adults and teenage clients age 13 and older.

What can I expect during my first counseling session?

When beginning therapy services, the initial session will focus on establishing treatment goals by gathering information on your background, current life situations, and how your symptoms are negatively impacting your daily life and/or relationships.

How long will I be in therapy?

The answer to this question depends on what you feel will work for you. Many people choose to come weekly, or bi-weekly, and continue for at least a few months. They may feel stabilized for a period of time afterward, and then decide to re-start sessions due to a significant event or decision to work on other areas in life. It’s important to know that therapy can have a life changing impact, but change can take time.

How do I get started?

Contact me to schedule a 15-minute consultation so we can discuss your needs and expectations. If you decide I’ll be a good fit for you, we’ll schedule your first appointment. I’ll gather some information and email you a link to your personal Client Portal. In the Client Portal are some documents to complete and sign prior to our first appointment; completing the forms usually takes 10-15 minutes.
