Stuffy credentials and clinical jargon

These things are also important to know about me as a therapist...

With over 8-yrs of clinical experience, I offer specialized therapy for pre-teens, teenagers, and adults. My focus is to assist you in building foundations of knowledge, develop insight, overcome obstacles, and make lasting changes. I draw from evidence-based models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-based Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. My eclectic approach allows for individualized treatment to address each client’s unique needs in safe and nonjudgmental spaces.

I earned my Masters in Counseling degree from the University of Arizona in 2016, and was privileged to  begin my career at the Arizona Women’s Recovery Center (formally NCADD) supporting clients with individual sessions, groups, and family sessions. I gained an array of experience assisting clients stabilize dually-diagnosed mental health, and overcome personal challenges previously compromised by addiction. The clients I worked with taught me the value of individualized therapy, that my clients are the experts in their own stories, and to celebrate every moment of progress and set-back because we can gain from them both.

I accepted the position of Mental Health Counselor at a local high school in 2020 where I facilitated support groups, met with individual students and/or parents seeking therapeutic supports, and held trainings to increase awareness for mental health. I finished out my contract with the high school at the end of May 2022.

I opened a private practice office in December 2021 part-time and shifted to full-time at the end of my time at the high school.
